1 – Tell us a bit about your own set of circumstances that you had to slot The Munro Method in and around

When I first joined Munro, I was six weeks into my recovery from a microdiscectomy of the lumbar spine, so exercise and walking were initially restricted to shorter periods.

When I returned to work, I had to fit The Munro Method in and around my shift patterns, including working full nights and weekends.

2 - Tell me about your previous dieting attempts.

When I was younger, I was always fairly active. I played a lot of sports which was the main reason my weight was always at a reasonable level.

As time went on I, and I was playing sports less and less, my weight started to increase. It became a common occurrence that my weight would balloon every autumn/winter, and then in the spring, I would look for some quick-fix diet to bring it back down to a suitable weight.

I tried the Body Coach 90-day plan, which was never sustainable, what with high-intensity training and high-calorie meals. So I tried Slimming World and then did Weight Watchers with my wife. However, I did the online version while she went to classes. But every year at the same time, I found myself in the same position.

3 - What did you hope The Munro Method would do for you?

Initially, when I was first looking, I was probably looking for another quick fix solution, but then the more I followed the Instagram posts, I hoped that not only would I lose weight but also that I would not have to cut out any foods or drinks and eventually gain an understanding of foods and their nutrients.

4 - How did you hear about us?

I stumbled across The Munro Method by chance whilst scrolling through Instagram.

At the time, I was looking at healthy eating accounts. I noticed something different about The Munro Method's post, and it drew my attention.

5 - What was it about us that stood out from other available options?

There are so many options available to people today, but I liked Jason's straight-up attitude and how he wasn't afraid to call other organizations out and a lot of what he was saying I could relate to as this was what I was doing.

There were also no false promises of losing a stone in a week, and no foods were seen as good or bad.

While looking more into the method, it would definitely fit into my life rather than making it fit around the plan like I had to do in the past.

It also had the added bonus of working with a qualified Nutritionist for an incredibly low price.

6 - Did anything almost put you off coming to work with us?

With so many options out there, the only real question I had was whether it would work for me, and their approach certainly hooked me.

My only concern was that I had to join social media to become a member. I had never wanted or had a Facebook account, but it was fine.

7 - What made you bite the bullet and sign up?

The simplicity and the fact that they want you to succeed and not come back mean that there is a solution to your eating habits rather than the boomerang mentality that other diets promote.

8 - What did you enjoy most about being a Clan Munro member?

Several things made me happy about being a member, the first being the support and encouragement you get from the coaches and the other clan members.

It is good to be part of a community that knows precisely what you are going through and shares similar goals.

There is also an abundance of literature and live chats to help you gain the knowledge you need, along with little challenges and prizes throughout the year to keep you motivated.

The fortnightly check-ins also allow you to implement any changes your feedback recommends.

9 - What have you been able to achieve since becoming a member of the Clan?

My confidence is so much better now; I feel good about myself whether in a work suit or a pair of swimming short on holiday.

I have a much better understanding of how my body works, what foods keep it fuelled for longer, and the nutritional benefits of those foods.

I also now know that weight fluctuations are perfectly natural responses to the things you eat, drink and do each day.

10 - What has exceeded your expectations since working with us?

Before joining, my sleep was abysmal, but it has become so much better.

11 - Why would you recommend us to others?

Ultimately, it is down to you to want to make the changes; nobody can make you change or motivate you.

The group is there to support your changes and educate you on your nutritional intake.

To provide you with a wealth of information, you need to take control of your life and make the change.

It's not a quick fix; you need to be patient and trust the process.

But at the end of the process, you will understand what your body needs, you will understand macros, and you will have built habits to last you a lifetime.

12 - Was there anything about Munro that surprised you?

I was struggling to answer this, but what surprised me was how forthcoming and open with their journey people were.

13 - What advice would you give someone thinking about joining us?

I would definitely tell anyone thinking of joining to do it !!!!

Yes, you will lose weight, but with this, you will also gain the knowledge and tools to maintain this loss, making it very cost-effective.

14 - How confident are you that you can now take everything you've learned during your time with us to go on and maintain the results you've achieved?

I am 100% confident I will go away and maintain the results I achieved.

I know that I will indulge more at certain times of the year, but I know how to manage these situations and lose pounds if required. I have engrained better eating habits within myself, which will last a lifetime.

15 - Is there anything else you'd like to add about your time with us?

I want to thank everyone for the support and Jason and Louise for the honest truths and encouragement at check-ins.

I have enjoyed the whole process, and while it hasn't always been easy, it has 100% been worthwhile.
